ULTRAMAR

THE STORY 

ULTRAMAR is royal-blue silk satin cut with a jeweller's economy. One shoulder carries the gown; at the waist, a cutout opens across a sheer inset dotted with crystals — a band of night sky worn at the body's centre. The column then falls to a back slit without further comment. Painters once reserved this blue for the most important figure in the composition; the dress makes the same assumption about its wearer. 

FABRIC & COMPOSITION 

Silk satin — 100% silk; sheer crystal-dotted inset — 90% polyamide, 10% elastane; lining 96% viscose, 4% elastane. 

STYLING NOTES 

Sapphire if available, silver if not; hair swept to the bare shoulder. For formal evenings, premieres, and portraits. 

CARE 

Professional dry clean only, silk specialist; flag the inset. Hang on a padded hanger away from light. Steam lightly on reverse.
