EMBER
THE STORY
EMBER is velvet at the temperature of embers. The bodice is its argument: deep red pile sculpted into a curved sweetheart form so dimensional it reads as carved rather than sewn, each contour holding shadow the way a coal holds heat. Above it, a sheer illusion layer rises to the collarbone, so the sculpture appears to float against bare skin. The skirt follows the body closely to the knee before flaring into a mermaid hem — a slow burn with a late bloom. Under evening light, the velvet swallows the room and returns it in warmth.
FABRIC & COMPOSITION
Couture velvet — 82% viscose, 18% silk; illusion neckline in fine stretch tulle — 90% polyamide, 10% elastane; corseted lining 96% viscose, 4% elastane.
STYLING NOTES
Ruby or garnet at the ears; hair away from the neckline to let the sculpture breathe. For winter galas, opera evenings, and December weddings.
CARE
Professional dry clean only, by a house familiar with silk velvet. Hang on a padded hanger; never fold, as velvet remembers pressure. Steam only, holding the nozzle away from the pile.
