MAGNOLIA
THE STORY
MAGNOLIA is bridal architecture in silk satin. The ballgown rises from a sweetheart bustier worked in lace, its corsetry drawing the couture line the silhouette depends on; at the waist, a lace peplum overskirt opens over the satin like the calyx of the flower the gown is named for. Below, ivory silk satin descends in monumental calm to a clean train. The gown flowers, in other words, exactly as a magnolia does — ornament first, at the crown, and then pure sculptural volume. Formal, botanical, and built to be remembered.
