ODETTE

THE STORY 

ODETTE holds its composure to the knee and then, like its namesake taking to water, lets go. The strapless bodice rises in crisp black taffeta to a sweetheart line, sculpted close through the torso and hip in the manner of classic couture corsetry. At the fishtail, the taffeta breaks into tiers of gathered ruffles that swell with every step — and hidden within them, a whisper of deep green lining flashes only in motion, the iridescence on a swan's feather glimpsed once and doubted afterwards. It is drama held in reserve until the final act, which is precisely where drama belongs. 

FABRIC & COMPOSITION 

Structured silk-blend taffeta — 55% silk, 45% polyester; ruffle underlayer in contrast taffeta; bodice lining 96% viscose, 4% elastane with internal boning. 

STYLING NOTES 

Gloves to the elbow make it opera; bare arms make it midnight. Either way, hair up and heels hidden — the hem performs alone. For galas, milestone birthdays, and stages of every kind.
