POMME ROUGE

THE STORY 

POMME ROUGE compresses glamour to pencil length. The midi is cut in apple-red satin, off-the-shoulder, its bodice folded into a sculpted bow form that crosses the bust like ribbon on a gift the evening has not yet opened. The skirt follows the body in a clean pencil line to below the knee. The proportions quote the great mid-century houses; the colour and gloss are entirely present tense. It is the dress for occasions that demand polish but reward mischief. 

FABRIC & COMPOSITION 

Duchess satin — 72% polyester, 28% silk; internal bodice structure; fully lined 96% viscose, 4% elastane.  

STYLING NOTES 

A pointed pump and a red lip in the same register; pearls if the evening is formal, bare skin if it is not. For cocktails, city dinners, and invitations marked festive. 

CARE 

Professional dry clean only. Hang in a breathable bag; steam the folds from inside the bodice. Keep water from the satin face.
