CARMEN

THE STORY 

CARMEN is scarlet silk satin with a Spanish spine. One shoulder carries the whole gown, the bodice draping asymmetrically across the body in folds that move like a held note, while the skirt drops straight until a high slit sets the rhythm free. There is no embellishment because there is no need: red at this depth, cut on this line, is an aria on its own. Worn once, it will be requested again. 

FABRIC & COMPOSITION 

Silk satin — 100% silk; draped one-shoulder construction; lining 96% viscose, 4% elastane. 

STYLING NOTES 

Red at the lip to match or nothing at all; gold hoops, hair pulled back tight. For evenings with music, anniversaries, and cities in the south. 

CARE 

Professional dry clean only, silk specialist. Hang on a padded hanger away from light to guard the red. Steam lightly on reverse.
